Fortune Cookie: You shouldnt overspend at this momment. Frugality is important.

Ha. Fortune cookies. They have not won me the lottery yet. I just ran to Morris Costumes and shelled out $32.00 for a new wig. Hannah wig is just not going to make it tonight. i really tried to make it work. I tried to brush it and plastic hair came out in clumps. Looks like the Hannah wig is now a cat toy.

I am not sure about the new wig either but we will see how it goes. It is only Halloween.

Twas the Night Before Halloween and Reagan was a'Posing

Cherry Coke Zero vs Diet Cherry Coke

Cherry Coke Zero tastes better than Diet Cherry Coke. I wish I had realized before I bought 2 packs of Diet Cherry Coke and only one Cherry Coke Zero.

Pre-K is working on the letter "B" this week. They are allowed to take in stuffed bears. Reagan took two giant Care Bears and one little Care Bear. Last year, she was all about the Care Bears. How did she go from Care Bears to Goosebumps?

I was a little excited to watch High School Musical 2 (again) last night. We had not watched it in at least a month. Then little Miss Spoil-the-Fun said she was tired of High School Musical and did not want to watch it, turn it off. I told her to go to her room and watch TV. She cried and would not go. So I fast fwd through the movie to see the songs I wanted to watch. Then we watched Hannah and Goosebumps, again.

I will try to take pictures tomorrow night. It is difficult to chase her and hold the camera at the same time.

Neighborhood Festival

"GOOSEBUMPED" OUT

OMG. It was a weekend marathon of "Goosebumps" on Cartoon Network. Reagan wanted to watch them. They are not scary to me. They are dumb. And old. But she had to watch them all. We finally switched to Hannah because one was too scary for her.

I do have pictures to post from the neighborhood festival. I was sick over the weekend and did not feel like uploading pictures.

MY HERO, REAGAN!!!

My stomach was in knots. I had just sent my baby back with the dental assistant to have her cavity filled. I had trouble catching my breath. So I sat down beside a teeny-bopper who decided to hog the only available computer and read her emails aloud. I noticed how all the children looked like their moms. Ok, I guess that makes sense. But it was a little creepy how alike they were. I know, I get it, these are their children. I was the odd man out, had a child no one could really look at and know she was mine. After my deep breathing, my observations, my wondering if people thought I had been hit upside the chin or did they think I had a big purple birthmark from my chin down?..... I heard an angel's voice "Mrs. Murphy?" Reagan was done!!!! (note about chin; had a glass of wine Sunday night and the coffee table jumped up and landed on my face)

Reagan made me promise I would tell the dentist that she did NOT want laughing gas. I kept my promise, they asked if she was getting Nitrous Oxide, I said YES but no laughing gas. I am good. I am very proud of her. She did not cry. So brave, my baby. Now she is not supposed to eat for 2 hours. Having a little trouble there. She is hungry.

Reagan and Mom are Home Today

Reagan has a cold and I am plying her with orange juice. Sounds like a chest cold and I dont want it to get worse. That would mean antibiotics and I have a hard time getting her to take that medicine.

I am just reading. Hanging out. May do some work from home after lunch time. Nothing exciting.

Reagan's Song Early in the Morning

"My mommy is dressing me in this pink skirt that is too smalllllll but I will wear it. I am not bigger, this skirt is smaller. "

Smart girl, No, she is not bigger, the skirt shrunk. Dont we all say that? Darn dryer. Shrinks clothes all the time, even the ones that go to the cleaners.........

Harley, Cat from Hell and Bath Morning

SURPRISE Harley. You pooped on the floor again so Mommy threw you in the bathtub. You are mad now but you will get over it.

Here is the picture of me with dilated pupils and red eye. Believe me, this is better than the edited one. SPOOKY! Ok Harley, here I come with the hairdryer.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROCHELLE !!!

Early. Rochelle's birthday is tomorrow. You are my soul sister, my control enthusiast friend. I love you! Happy Birthday October 20th. Here are the pictures you did not want me to post. Show me the money!! That is Rochelle's new motto at work from me.

Reagan's Vivid Dreams

Pictures shown are Reagan and Tierra, The Doodlebops, and Reagan.

Reagan has a beautiful bedroom. I will post a picture when the room is clean. Sean still needs to paint the border and I need to get curtains but that takes time and money. Point, she is scared to sleep in her room. I bought a crown that lights up so she wont be in the dark but she is still scared. I slept in her bed last night but I am going to try sneaking out from now on; except she stays up later than I do.
Anyway, it took forever to get her (and Mr Murphy) up this morning. Then she started her early-morning-blabbering about her dream she had. Goes like this (no breaths in between sentences) "I was at school with Tierra and the Doodlebops and all the animals got sick and they had to go to the vet hospital, Tierra took them but all the Doodlebops did not turn into animals... Moe Doodle turned into a Tiger. But me and Miss Alma did not eat the food so we did not get sick." I said Great, get up, go potty, brush your teeth, get dressed, Dads taking you to school because neither one of you would get up, make sure you brush your teeth so you dont get another cavity, shoes are in the hallway, let me fix your hair, GET UP. I have to go......

TO COMMENT

To comment, click on the blue comment word (note- used to be blue but I have since changed the fonts and colors, just click on COMMENT) at the end of the blog. If you leave me an ugly comment, I will delete it and hunt you down. You are able to leave a comment as anonymous but I will still figure out who you are.

Besides that, nothing much new. At all. I think I am out of jury duty tomorrow which is good. I am afraid of what I might say if I get picked. I never know what is going to come out of my mouth. Do you believe in the death penalty? Absolutely!!!! Can you be fair and objective? No, I have already decided he/she is guilty, I dont like the way he/she/it looks. See, I am not a good juror. Really.

Went to Target last night. Reagan fussed because she wanted to try on costumes and not real clothes. I told her there was nothing left for her to try on. She cannot wear witch or devil costumes to her Baptist daycare and that is all that was left. So, for school, she is going to be a ballerina and for Halloween, Hannah Montana of course.

I think Smelly Cat's new food arrived. He left pudding puddles in the laundry room again so I was scrubbing away at 5:15am. Boy was I mad. Hope he gets used to the scenery in the laundry room.

I talked to Tanya (my BFF) -- (that's a funny word for a 30ish young woman (me) to be using) last night. When we were younger, I think we talked about five times a day. Now, none of us want to get on the phone. But she is a hoot. We get each other's unique quirks. And we know who is full of crap. Dont think you can fool us. When we were in our early 20's, Tanya was known as 007 (like James Bond). She could track down any cheating boyfriend. I am still waiting for she and her forever- long boyfriend to get married and have a baby so we can talk about diaper coupons and formula.
Here is Reagan's Mom (Me), Reagan, and "007 "Tanya (pronounced TONYA never TANya, ever) But I think this was December 2005. I still had longer hair and we were in the old house before we moved back to the cool side of town.

SUPERSTITIOUS

Now I have to check all my spelling lest Sean tries to call me on it. You never want to watch us play Scrabble. VOTE. If the poll applies to you, then vote. All votes are anonymous.

Zappos was friendly but they could not match the price on shoes. I bet Reagan wont even wear them when they get here. Shoebuy.com has a $10 off promotion on their shoes. Also you get 10% Upromise Savings. We like Upromise. Within 14 more years, we should have saved enough to get Reagan to college. Please stay in state. I am ok with Wake Forest. Not Duke or Chapel Hill. I will have to look into it.

I tried to take pictures last night and they were really cute. Except my pupils have always dilated enormously and I show up with Red Eye. Even when you try to edit the Red Eye, I end up with spooky black eyes. I wonder if huge pupils are hereditary. I will have to ask Jeremy (he is the first offspring of Michael Brownlee, I am the second, diff mothers of course). So basically, I looked possessed in the pictures and could not post them for fear of frightening you. I will try again. I tried to get some of Cat from Hell, Harley, and me. He is really cute. Except for the pudding poop pools he leaves on the living room floor at 1am that leaves me scrubbing the floor like a psycho Cinderella. Babble on I could. The point is POST YOUR VOTE.

High School Musical = Grease to me

Mom took me to see Grease around 1977 I think. I know I saw the animated part at the beginning and then fell asleep. We must have been at the beach because with that memory, I recollect the smell of cedar or whatever wood smell you get at a seafood restaurant. A good memory. I cannot remember at what age I became obsessed with Grease. I remember looking around the playground when I was 6 or 7 and wishing some boy would break out in song and sing "You're the One that I Want" to me. I think I kept wishing that well into High School. You know what they say, "Wish in one hand......**** in the other."

So Reagan is really into High School Musical. She does not idolize the characters, she only likes to sing the songs. She knows the order they fall on both CDs I and II. She thinks Grease is stupid. The shame.
NOTE: I am moderating comments because the spammers have found my little blog and are leaving nonsense in my comments section. And so is Sean. hahahaha.

HAPPY OCT 13 BIRTHDAY AUNT JANET!

Janet did not want to be in the pictures. We showed up early and she had not showered yet but she sure was jamming to some disco. There is a snippet of her in one of the pictures.

How Mommy and Daddy Met

I may have already blogged about this but here we go. I was working at Coca Cola as was Sean. Different departments. I walked passed him and HE SAID Good Morning and I replied. I thought he resembled Kyle Chandler (pictured above) whom I had a big crush on from "Evening Edition." I found out his name, saw he wore no wedding ring, and emailed him and he asked me out and that is that. He could not resist me. Been together ever since. I am a sucker for big brown eyes (not beady ones). Always have been.

Somebody is Already Working on her Christmas List

THANKS PAULETTE, FOR TELLING REAGAN TO CIRCLE ALL SHE WANTS IN THE TOY CATALOG FOR CHRISTMAS!!!! There is nothing left uncircled.....

If I do not mention you

A friend of mine at work asked why I do not mention her on my blog. I try not to be specific about work because I think it is in our policy that we cannot make work life available to the public. But my friend at work, you keep me sane. It is absolutely fabulous to know that there is someone who is a control enthusiast (not control freak, that is not politically correct) as I am. And a happy upcoming birthday to you. I will dedicate a page to you on Saturday.

I try not to mention anyone that I may insult without meaning to. Unless of course I want to insult you.

Other things. I am doing my civic duty and serving jury duty Friday. I dont want to. I am afraid of going to the courthouse. I fear that a crazy person is going to go on a shooting spree the day I am there. I can see me crawling on the floor to avoid shots. Only a little paranoid.

SUBJECT CHANGE: What is up with Zappo's? They have a 110% price guarantee and I sent them the link with the Skechers Airators costing less at shoewhatever.com. Where is my response? Big foot Little Miss Murphy needs new shoes.

The Recycling Bin, Spelling Bee, and other Nonsense

It is Tuesday, trash pick up day. EVERY Tuesday, Sean says, "Hon, don't run over the recycling bin when you back out of the driveway."

Do I have IDIOT written on my forehead? I don't even back up in that direction, if anything he needs to be telling me to watch out for the mailbox. Or the grass... but that is a given. Next week, I am running over the recycling bin.

Sean says he won his 3rd grade spelling bee. I called his mother... I want proof, I want the badge. I intentionally misspelled a word in the 7th grade prelim spelling bee so I would not have to be in the spelling bee in front of the entire school. I was very shy. But I could spell very well. Sean thinks he is a better speller. I have read his emails and have seen some misspelled words. I know he is very intelligent, but we may just have to have a Spelling Bee in the Murphy household. Reagan is out because she gets her letters backwards..... but I will give her a break, she is only 4.

Reagan knows Mommy is the better speller. Little Mini-Sean-Spawn always takes up for me. Subject CHANGE. She was so cute this morning. I let her wear a denim jacket Paulette bought for her last year with a pink skirt and barbie shoes. She thought she was Barbie. She was preening and asked her daddy if she looked like Barbie and he said "Barbie who?." Wrong answer but we will get him trained in the art of female speak. Right answer would have been "yes you do look just like Barbie."

I need to write a blog I missed on the 13th for Aunt Janet's birthday. I just have not uploaded any of the pictures from the camera yet. Maybe tonight. Last night, we went to the LIBRARY. Reagan was an 8 on the well behaved scale.
